Period: Eagle Eyes
Dates: c.1982 until c.1983
Cat No: 34415
The Action Man Luftwaffe Pilot (or Action Man German Pilot as he is commonly referred to) was launched in 1982 to complement his foe, an earlier 1979 Action Man Battle of Britain Pilot. An Action Man ME109 or Spitfire were never produced which is an opportunity missed.
ACTION MAN LUFTWAFFE PILOT: jacket, trousers, belt, holster, Luger, red scarf, flying helmet, goggles, oxygen mask and pipe, boots, map, life preserver, Equipment Manual.
The Action Man Luftwaffe Pilot uniform has glued on silk printed insignia that often is missing. It is a very light material and the pocket flaps just sewn details. His boots are the same pattern as the Battle of Britain Pilot. The oxygen mask stretches between two holes in the flying helmet. A red scarf is often missing - it is a nylon material and tends to reform into a tube shape instead of laying flat. The life preserver has printed details and along with the goggles, belt and flying helmet, are unique to this set. The 'current Action Man figure at the time of launch in 1979 was an Eagle Eye dynamic body.
